Instructor Sherin Moustafa has invested a great deal of time and dedication into cultivating a piano curriculum that allows students to develop their musicality, social skills, cognitive abilities and dexterity all while having fun and learning the art of piano.

In this piano class, students will be learning together in an ensemble format.

Here's What The Program Looks Like

Week 1: How to play your first piano song!

Other piano programs teach young students to read music notation before ever playing the piano.

This approach usually disengages young students making them unhappy with their piano experience.

I start with students playing the piano right from the beginning using the highly successful teaching method called rote.

Rote teaching involves initially presenting music to students without notation; the focus is on listening to what is being played without the distraction of notation.

Students will learn their first song completely by ear in week 1!

Week 2: Learn the Basics and Foundations of Music

To speak any language, one must know the elements that make up its dialogue.

In this week, students will learn the core essentials of the musical language, including written notation and rhythm!

Week 3: Keyboard Geography

So far in my career, I’ve taught hundreds of students. Where I saw students struggling the most was being able to recognize patterns on the piano keyboard.

Pattern recognition is essential to experience the joy of playing the piano.

I created a method to assist my students in this area. So that’s why you will NEVER find this method anywhere else.

With my Keyboard Geography Method, students will be able to learn and play music with much more ease and enjoyment!

Week 4: Proper Technique and Fingering

It’s usually my top students that learn these techniques who get the best results.

You can ask any of my past or current students parents - they’ll tell you the same thing.

With my methods done properly, people see my students perform and think they’ve got a natural gift for music-making.

Week 5: Famous Music Composers

Imagine being back in time when Johann Sebastian Bach played Toccata And Fugue in D Minor, or when Ludwig van Beethoven conducted the 5th Symphony!

In this week students will experience the musical genius of these great classical composers by watching concert performance videos on our 150 square foot screen projector and listening with our professional sound system.

Week 6: Certification, Awards and Graduation!

To congratulate our awesome students, they will receive their graduation certificate for completing the program!

Each student will be awarded for a special category.

How many students are in the class?

There is a maximum of 7 students per class. We have a large studio space that provides sufficient social distancing. Your health and safety is our top priority.

Do I Need a Piano or Keyboard at Home?

While it is not required to have a piano or keyboard at home, but it is highly recommended :)

What if I have to miss a class?

Video tutorials, PDF's and other media files pertaining to the class will be emailed to you so you know exactly what we covered that day.

Do I need to buy books or materials for the class?

Nope:) We provide all the materials for the class

How much time should my child practice at home?

A minimum of 10 minutes per day at home is required to keep pace with the class schedule. To help with home practice, you will receive short, high quality video tutorials that will walk you and your child easily through the practicing process.
